This Year’s Christ The King Award Goes to…
Hi SI Alumni and Friends,
This year’s winter break at SI will be like no other in 50 years. The demolition of the Carlin Commons, Orradre Chapel, and McGucken Hall will commence next week. By the time students return from their break, all these buildings will be down and construction crews will be making way for SI’s future—The New Learning Commons.
This new addition will create over 165,000 square feet of new learning space, a new Chapel, and plenty of areas for building community and lifelong connections. Thanks to hundreds of you, it’s happening!
But to complete this project we need help from each one of you. Consider it a small down payment on the future of St. Ignatius, just the way other Ignatians have done it over the generations since 1855.
This new video was recently played for a massive crowd to celebrate Paul Totah ‘75, the 2024 recipient of the Christ the King Award. This is the highest award we bestow upon an alum of St. Ignatius and he was selected by the SI Alumni Board. It’s a wonderful tribute to a person who truly embodies the best of Jesuit principles and values.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at St. Ignatius!
GO CATS!
